ABOUT YOUR LIBRARY BOUND DESIGNED TO TREASURE ALBUM
When you work with Designed to Treasure we guarantee you will receive a uniquely designed album that you will be thrilled and proud to share with your family and friends for years to come. Our company utilizes flush-mount construction where each borderless page of your album is a photographic print, lacquer-laminated to a backing board, and bound into a library-style book.
Our albums make full use of panorama spreads, which allows photos to cross the center hinge. Our design team takes advantage of this flexibility to increase the impact and creativity of your album. Albums vary in size from 5”x7” up to a 12”x12” format (link to price list ). You can choose between a photo cover or a leather bound cover for your album.
The information you provide us is important to ensure we understand your preferences for the style and look of your album. It is important you complete our order questionnaire as fully as possible to make sure we have an accurate picture of your preferences as well as current contact information including address, phone number, email, etc. Please take time to look over the album styles in our gallery to help us to understand even further what styles and looks appeal to you (link to order instruction).
COVER OPTIONS
The photo cover offers a beautiful look to your album by allowing us to place a stunning portrait directly on the front of your album. The photo is mounted on a leather or leatherette cover depending on the size. We will ask if you have a photo you prefer for the cover, if not, your designer will select a beautiful portrait for you. We will provide you an opportunity to see your cover photo before we send your album to print. (Click for example)
The Leather cover offers you the opportunity to include an inset cameo photo and your choice of 17 different colors and styles of rich, genuine glove leather. Black is the timeless and most popular choice, but other options include ivory, grey, pink, burgundy, and many more. (Click for example) Text is also an option in this style album. You also have the opportunity to look over the available cover colors for your leather albums (link to leather colors). To assist with the album assembly selections we are providing the following descriptions for Leather covers only (photo covers come in black leather):
Album cover color:
All covers are genuine glove leather. The most popular cover color is black. We have found that White does not stand up to wear as well as darker colors. There are other colors available- various shades of red, green, blue, gray, etc. For wedding albums our recommendation is black as it maitains the most elegant look over time.
OTHER OPTIONS
Metallic edge gilding:
Colors available are black, silver, gold and white. We recommend gold with black and silver with white. If you'd rather not have gilded edges, then black would be the choice, which would blend in with the predominant color of your layout. (Click for Example)
Imprinting:
Imprinting is optional, and available in gold or silver. Usually, the imprinting should match the edge gilding color. Most people put their first names and wedding date on the cover, like:(Click for Example)

Cameo:
A cameo is a photo, inset into the cover of the album. It is optional, but at no additional cost. We try to choose a photo that is a close-up portrait of just the bride and groom. The cameo can be color or black and white, but we find that b&w looks especially good, particularly with a black cover. If you have a specific photo in mind, you will need to let us know, if not, you will have an opportunity to look at our cameo selection prior to your final album assembly. (Click for Example)
